“He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40:3
Hi Everyone –
I’m Linda, and it’s a privilege and blessing for me to be a piece of this radio ministry in our community. Music has always been a very big part of my life, and when God saved me and my family many years ago, I replaced the music I was listening to with songs of praise and thanksgiving!
It is my prayer that all who listen to these worship songs will be renewed, strengthened and encouraged and those who tune in who don’t yet know the Lord will be captivated by the words of Truth and heed His calling. Most of these modern praise songs are based on and contain many Scriptures, which the Bible says give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises [the glorious return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His Kingdom!] (Romans 15:4, NLT).
God has strengthened me through His Word and scripture in music so very often. I remember some specific times – once driving around, looking for my son who had just run away, and God ministered to me through the song “Everything Is In His Hands” which began to play at that moment on my car stereo. At another sorrowful time in prayer, I had just “reminded” the Lord of one of my favorite scriptures, “Sorrows may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (in the song, Trading My Sorrows), when the telephone rang in the midst of a crisis that morning, and a stranger who was a sister in the Lord called from Texas. She had just been on a flight with my son, he gave her my phone number, and she called to encourage me, asking if I knew that very same verse, and she recited, “Sorrows may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning”! The Lord is so faithful and ever-present, and His Word is truly “living and powerful…” (Hebrews 4:12)
Until that Day of the Lord, it’s a joy to “Sing to Him a new song… praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples… For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.” (Psalm 96) It is my prayer that God’s Word go out mightily through this radio ministry and be a blessing to all who hear. May it “tell all the nations that the Lord is King… For the Lord is coming [soon]!”
